Lord, we continue to pray for those grieving in the aftermath of the terror attack in Gaziantep, Turkey. We were sickened today to hear the news that almost half of the 54 people killed on Saturday were children. Not only that, but that the attack was most likely specifically aimed at women and children. Lord, heal the broken hearts of the parents and siblings of these lost young ones. We pray specifically for Emine Ayhan, who lost four of her five children and now despairs of life. Lord, give her hope for the future. Give her the supernatural ability to grieve on her own while also comforting her surviving child and being available for her injured husband. We pray for all who are recovering from injuries, that they would receive proper medical care, that their needs would be provided, and that people would come alongside them to serve, help and comfort. We pray for the truth to come out about this bombing, and for those responsible to be held accountable. We also fervently pray against ISIS’ practice of recruiting children as suicide bombers, which may have been a factor in this situation. Lord, bring your peace to Gaziantep. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
