Prayer for Sweden and the refugees there

Today our thoughts turn toward Sweden, Lord. We are so concerned about the plight of refugees in Europe, but that concern extends to the nations attempting to host (or not host) them. Lord, please give Sweden’s leaders wisdom as they manage receiving the most refugees per capita. Help the leaders and people discern your will in this situation. Give them both resolve and compassion. We pray for the tens of thousands of refugees who will be deported from Sweden in coming years. Give them gratitude for the time they were able to find refuge there, yet comfort as they find themselves without a home or nation yet again. Show them where to go, Lord. And help them to learn and experience that you see and understand our suffering. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
