Heavenly Father, we are immeasurably
grateful that BBC Africa Eye exposed Kenya’s baby black market and motivated
change! We are thankful that the government has begun an investigation with the
intent of bringing the full force of the law against both buyers and sellers of
black-market babies. Lord God, it’s hard to imagine that a hospital, which we should
consider a place of help and safety, might employ people who are secretly
selling babies. We pray that these illegal operations will come to light and be
stopped. We pray that the vulnerable mothers who are being targeted will find needed
help, support and protection. We pray, Heavenly Father, that babies will be returned
to rightful parents wherever possible. Finally, we pray that improvement will
happen within Kenya's child protection services as needed. In Jesus’
mighty name we pray, amen.
