Prayer about African swine fever vaccine

https://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2019/07/12/World-races-to-develop-African-swine-fever-vaccine/6711562880159/

Lord God, we bring before you the need for a vaccine that fights African swine fever. First, we are thankful that this virus is harmless against humans—at least directly. Yet we know it is indirectly very harmful. The blow to farmers who lose their herds to this virus is devastating. The impact on the local, national and global economy is also alarming. So we are thankful that the world is taking notice now that China, the world’s largest pig producer, is seeing up to half its population affected. And now that the virus that started in Africa has spread to multiple Asian countries and parts of Europe, the global significance cannot be denied. We pray for the researchers in China, Vietnam, the United States, Russia, Spain and the United Kingdom, who are working tirelessly to solve this problem and create an effective vaccine. We pray for the process to bring successful vaccines to market to go as quickly as possible, due to the urgency of the issue. And we pray for generosity between nations as they work to solve a worldwide concern. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

  3. You're praying to Jesus to help you find a cure for a disease that is killing pigs, so that others can kill the pigs & eat them? Are you praying to the same Jesus who reportedly told us all in the Bible not to eat pork?

    1. This prayer is focused on helping humankind, rather than animals. Kindness toward animals is a separate issue. Pigs dying from disease is unhelpful to both them and to the portions of humanity who depend on them. I do appreciate what appears to be your concern for the pigs. As for your other question, I would appreciate your pointing me to where Jesus said we should not eat pork, as I am unfamiliar with that passage. Thank you.
