Jesus, you have told us to heal the sick and help the weak. To do unto others as we would have them do unto us. So today we pray for Derek Wallace as he leads the Takeda Pharmaceutical Company's global effort to develop a dengue vaccine. With nearly half the world’s population at risk of contracting dengue fever and worldwide cases increasing rather than decreasing, we see great value in a dengue vaccine. With the company’s large-scale study of a vaccine they're calling TAK-003 initially showing an 80% success rate, there is hope that a world-changing vaccine may soon come to market. We pray, Lord, that as full trial data is accumulated over a longer period of time, that the results would make clear whether this vaccine is worth the investment and study. With the astronomical money involved in the pharmaceutical industry, we pray against greed clouding any results or steps anywhere in the process. Amen.
